Admission to the School

We believe that most children have the ability to achieve well at GCSE and go on to higher education. What prevents this in many schools is the poor standard of discipline and a lack of attention to individual pupils' needs. We address these issues by teaching children in an unique atmosphere of mutual respect treating each pupil as a unique and precious individual.

Our school was created for pupils who want to achieve their best, in an environment where they feel safe and anti-social behaviour is not tolerated. Therefore when considering a pupil for admission to Thames we must be confident that they will have an enthusiastic approach to learning and demonstrate respect for each other and the staff. We expect all pupils to have the highest regard for our Christian values, especially those of honesty and integrity. We set homework each night and expect it to be completed to a high standard.

We assess the individual academic needs of your son or daughter to establish how best we can meet them. We want to ensure that your child will be developed and challenged sufficiently to enable him or her to achieve their highest potential.

Please read about our GCSE results or see our Ofsted report for further assurance that we meet our aims!
