Christian Studies

Unashamedly a faith school, the Christian Studies curriculum explores the roots and main beliefs of Christianity, with the aim that each pupil can come to a deeper understanding of the Christian faith. The curriculum also looks at other faiths and builds towards the GCSE syllabus based on St Mark's Gospel, the application of Christian ethics to contemporary issues and the effects of Christianity on people’s attitudes and behaviour.

The Christian perspective enhances learning; pupils who are taught within the framework of a coherent and purposeful worldview learn far more than just skills and information. They learn wisdom and their confidence flourishes in an environment where they are valued.
