Information TechnologyThe school is known for its holistic and cutting-edge approach to ICT. Pupils have access to the latest laptop computers which are used across the curriculum alongside traditional teaching methods. Pupils study for the ECDL qualification, which is rapidly becoming a requirement within large corporations and the public sector. When pupils leave the school they will have a computer proficiency that will surpass many adults in the workplace. ICT is also used to study elements of Design & Technology. Pupils use Lego Robolab to build and program robotic models for example a fun fair ride and a mechanical clearance machine. Pupils make extensive use of software like Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver and Solidedge to create photo montages, animations, websites and CAD designs. |
