When considering a child for admission we must be confident that he or she has an enthusiastic approach to learning and demonstrates an attitude of respect towards other pupils and staff. A church-going background is not a prerequisite for entry, but we do expect every pupil and their family to have the highest regard for and fully support our Christian values, especially those of honesty and integrity.
We accept pupils with varying levels of academic ability: many are academically gifted, some are gifted artistically, creatively or in sport. Others have gifts that have yet to be realised. We believe that almost every child is good at something but may need that little extra help in drawing out their potential. Particular importance is placed on the enrolment interview in our application process, which is designed to ensure that your child has the positive qualities we seek and meets our minimum academic standard. In short we are looking for children with the attitude and aptitude to flourish in our environment at Thames.
