You can request a prospectus online or by contacting Catherine Holsgrove, our Registrar, on 020 7228 3933. We are happy to make an appointment for you and your child to view the school, or alternatively simply turn up at one of our published Open Days to see the wide range of facilities and opportunities available at Thames.
Once you are happy to proceed, the next step is for you to send us the completed application form, together with your child's most recent school report, diagnostic reports if applicable, registration fee of £75 and copy of the child's birth certificate or passport. We will then invite the applicant to sit an entrance exam in order to assess his or her academic potential. References are sought from previously attended schools. Finally your child will be invited to an enrolment interview, which is of key importance in our application process. All applications are handled in confidence and the decision of the Head is final. The school is not obliged to state its reasons for rejection of an applicant.
We have successfully attained further classroom space within our locality in order to accomodate more pupils into our current Year 7, 8 and 9 classes. Additionally, we created additional places in Year 10 in September 2011 as we split the class into two to achieve even more focus. We welcome applications from pupils about to start GCSEs or those who have completed Year 10 who may wish to repeat Year 10 in order to attain better grades.
Please contact us if you wish to be considered for any places that may still be available. We always recommend applying as early as possible and that you hand deliver your application to ensure its safe arrival.

Pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is outstanding. A high priority is placed on developing the whole person and in finding at least one aspect of the curriculum in which every individual can excel. This fostering of individual talent helps build students' self-esteem and their outstanding personal development.
